RE: Building Repair Schedule
As most of you are aware, there was a unit fire at Unit 406 on the 4th floor on November 28th.
As of today’s date, the following repairs have been completed:
5th Floor – All common area walls have been wiped down and the walls have been repainted. Carpet cleaning will take place during the week of December 14th.
4th Floor – The carpet has been removed down the long stretch of hallway and the walls have been wiped down to the stairwell exit door near Unit 406. Once the demolition of Unit 406 is completed, the containment will be removed, hopefully by Friday, December 11th. The painting of the hallway on the 4th floor will be painted the week of December 14th. Please watch for “wet paint” signs.
With the demolition of Unit 406, lingering “smoke smell” will dissipate and disappear all together.
Early next week, new doors should arrive and I will be calling each Unit to schedule a time to install the new door, new door frame as well as new hardware for those doors that were kicked-in on the 4th and 5th floors by the Fire Department.
If you need to access your storage unit that had been kicked-in, please call 947-0401 and the Property Attendant will get you entry.
The repair to Unit 406 is estimated to take 60 days to complete. There will be noise from such construction during the day.
Thank you all for being patient during this time.
